Yoga of Sound & Song
Yoga of Sound & Song
Music for Wellness
Participation with music and sound can support our commitment to health and wholeness. By using the voice as an instrument of connection and healing, we tap into the power of sound. Humming, toning, chanting and singing are possible entry points that create resonance in the body and mind, and an authentic expression of music.
In workshops and private sessions, we may use the breath, acoustic instruments, recorded songs, mantra, or asana as tools for grounding, expression, balance, and stillness.
The energy created in a group is a powerful and memorable experience. Together we experience the transformative vibrations of sound and ride the waves of song.
The Universal Song of the Heart
By participating with music we:
•Actively vocalize with simple healing tones to access our natural abilities for self-care and self-healing.
•Use the vibration of the voice to quickly shift our consciousness from the head to the heart, to quiet the mind and amplify our well being.
•Experience the power and joy of engaging with music as a group, free from the fears of singing or performance.
•Connect to the dynamic flow of energy in our bodies and feel more alive, free, and in harmony with the world around us.
